about us: Wolfgang Hey
Wolfgang
Hey
When Wolfgang introduced the first cutters build by Wild Heerbrugg, a Swiss company - later the devision was
outsourced and became Zünd AG - just a view people were prepared to follow his visions about the future of the
graphic art market and other branches like packaging, shoe, textile, etc.
After he has seen the first electrostatic color printer at a show in the early 90th last century and advised his boss
about the dramatic changes in the industry for the coming years, the next day hie got fired for being “a fool and
dreamer”.
From todays view this was a real good luck since due to this incident he could vitally influenced the development of
wide format digital printing in Europe. He has brought Onyx Postershop to the European market, sold the first
Rastergraphics printers to European market (long time before Oce took over this company) and even the first Gandi
Grandjets.
He did the first available manuals about color management and profiling and much more.
A lot of people still remember his function while the legendary Calcomp Crystal Jet has been introduced and even
the successful LFP-Newsletter has been initiated by him (for several years he even was chief editor for .com
version).
Wolfgang Hey has published several professional articles like “from analog to digital textile printing”, etc. and did a
lot of speeches at different congresses.
Before he started with Longier Europe Wolfgang Hey was founder and CEO of Teckwin Europe Gmbh until 2011.
Wolfgang Hey studied electro techniques at the Fachhochschule für Elektrotechnik in Düsseldorf and gained
graduation.
Beside his engagement for Longier Europe Wolfgang is co-initiator of the IM-BOX project and senior consultant for
NarrowCoach, a leading management information system used for e.g. customer satisfaction survey, customer
value analysis, employee motivation, exhibition change processes, etc.
Wolfgang has published several articles concerning this topic at XING business network.
